I made these Eid cards for the Eid after Ramadan in 2023. I didn’t think they looked all that special, but everyone I sent them to did! That was so nice. They said, woah, were did you get those? How did you make them?

Well, it was very simple. The flowers in middle are from Dollar Tree. I don’t know if it takes away from the purity of Eid cards if you buy pieces of them from a big corporation, but what can I do?
Then, the actual card itself is something I’ve had for a while. I think I bought them from Staples in 2019. I was going to make “Great job” certificates to give to the kids I made animations with. It’s like very thin cardstock. And they come in different colors and shapes as you can see. Well, actually, technically, they are all the same size; and they have a different design on the inside; and I cut off the border so the inside design became the border.
Then, I just stuck the sticker in the heart; and inked the greeting as fancily as I could; and wrote a short note on the back.
I didn’t figure all this out at first. I started by doing the collage-style you can see with the two cards furthest to the top-left; but they were sort of sloppy-looking; and it was while tinkering with them that the Staples+Stickers idea came to me. I think that looks much cleaner.
Then, I put them in nice envelops that I’ve had in all sorts of colors — pale violet and soft blue and that sort. And from Michaels (another evil corporation I’m sure), I had bought Eid-themed stickers, and I used those to seal the envelops.
So that’s it!
