I read this article about Bari Weiss. Aside from being a stooge for the billionaire takeover, she seems to be absolutely insufferable. One of those people who blabs for a living and can’t say a single thing of substance the whole time.
What clued me in, without question, was when she was telling her peasant underlings that they need to “assume best intent”. LOL! The only people who demand that you assume best intentions, are people in the midst of evil schemes. At least, this has been my experience. Really garbage people. They do the whole “ASSUME BEST INTENT!” gig so that when you catch them being evil, they can deflect by saying, “WHY ARE YOU SUCH A BAD PERSON ASSUMING BAD THINGS OF ME!”
The kicker, of course, is that these people are themselves always assuming worst intent of others, and jumping down everyone’s throats without preamble.
But so it all now comes tumbling out: “Assume best intent” is probably a slogan that one of those stupid, famous, blabbermouth podcasters has come up. Who latches onto slogans like that? Other blabbermouths, of course. People who are too lazy to learn anything of substance. All they know to do is blab. So they need cutesy little slogans to sound smart and official.
I’ve never heard an actual nice, trustworthy person say “assume best intent”. You know why? It’s not in their nature to be plotting deviously. So they’re not assuming anyone else is, either. So a slogan like that wouldn’t even come to mind as something necessary to say.
The fake people though — we really need to talk about their vapidity and emptiness more. Maybe then they’ll finally get embarrassed and stop blabbing all the time.
